Dear Laurel,
It seems like just yesterday you were bouncing around the North Eugene halls saying hi to everyone with that beautiful, contagious smile of yours. You were one of those souls that lit up the room when you entered it, making everyone feel seen and loved. Time spent with you was fun, exciting and full of laughter. You were our homecoming and prom queen, the head cheerleader belting her voice out at games, the social butterfly in the NE lounge and someone we could always rely on to be happy and joyous. You always lived life to the fullest and gave your best self to the world. Your life was cut short, and it seems totally unfair to those of us that knew you. Please know we will never forget you and that you will always be in our hearts. The Class of 93 would not be the same without you. All my love to you and especially to Bob, your sister, your parents and all your close friends in California. - Aloha, Alicia & all your Eugene friends

I was immediately drawn to Laurel the first time I met her - we both said it was a God thing and agreed He put us into each other’s lives for a reason,
I know she made a huge impact in my life and can only hope I did the same for her. Whether it was boating, SxS trips, yoga, bible study, or the best which was just being
with her - I so enjoyed her infectious nature. Always a smile, a kind word and sincere concern for others. Her bright light shines full of love, faith and hope, there’s no doubt she’s
in a better place right now, a beautiful heaven - I was honored to paint her nails a pearl white not long before she passed - matching her shimmering angel wings. This pic was April 2021
where she brightened our Utah ride with her shining light - it will never, ever fade.
Love you girl,
Julie

I still can't believe that you are gone. Mine, along with many others, hearts are broken. I was just a young, 18 year old girl when I met you. Having just moved across the country from Rhode Island to California, to live with my boyfriend (now husband). When so many questioned Mike and my relationship, thinking we were too young to be so serious. You always had our back, and loved us no matter what. You were such a huge part of so many of my memories living in California. We went on many trips together, mostly Mexico, always having the best time. The time our luggage fell off the roof of the van Michael Simon was driving . We laughed and laughed! I don't remember a time that you didn't have a smile on your face, you were the epitome of happiness and love of life. You NEVER took anything for granted, and always lived life to the fullest. You were infectious, people naturally gravitated towards you and your fun loving spirit. Literally the MOST amazing woman I have ever met in my life. More people should be like you I have so many fond memories of you that I will hold dear. When I found out you were sick, my heart broke. You somehow still had that smile and a fighting spirit. We shared messages back and forth, and there is something you said that I will never forget. That you didn't feel worthy of all of the compliments I gave you. With my response of, you were worthy of ALL of them, and SO much more. Laurel loved life, loved her friends and she loved her family and most of all she loved Bob I will forever remember her beautiful soul, her smile, her spirit and huge heart. She touched the lives of so many. Rest easy my sweet friend. I love you and always will
